The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) says Copper Queens Coach Nora Hauptle has requested that her salary be reduced by 50 percent so she can take up other jobs while still in charge of the national team.
FAZ Head of Media and Communications Nkweto Tembwe disclosed this during a media briefing in Lusaka today.
Mr. Tembwe added that Hauptle has also requested to step down as Technical Advisor for the youth teams. He revealed that the coach has gone further to report the Association to FIFA, demanding compensation and future bonuses for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and the World Cup.
Tembwe said FAZ is still in talks with Hauptle as they strive to resolve the matter amicably.
