Govt to Buy 15,000 Uniforms for Nurses and Midwives

Government plans to buy 15,000 uniforms for nurses and midwives this year.
Speaking during the handover of the uniforms, Health Minister Dr. Alex Katakwe said the move is aimed at improving the welfare and motivation of frontline health workers.
Dr. Katakwe said that government recognizes the critical role nurses and midwives play in delivering quality healthcare services and remains committed to supporting them with the necessary resources.
Meanwhile, Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services Daphne Shamambo welcomed the gesture, describing it as timely and a morale booster for nurses and midwives across the country.
Ms. Shamambo added that the provision of uniforms will not only enhance professionalism but also promote a sense of pride among healthcare workers.
