Government Launches Property Management System

Government has launched a centralised Property Management Information System aimed at modernising operations in the public sector and improving the management of state-owned properties.

Speaking during the launch, Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Permanent Secretary ALBERT MALAMA said the platform would, for the first time, provide government with a comprehensive real-time database of all properties maintained by the state across the country.

Professor MALAMA said the system would strengthen accountability and improve planning for maintenance and resource allocation.

He added that the platform has been integrated with the Government Service Bus -GSB, a move expected to improve service delivery and support government’s ease of doing business agenda.

Professor MALAMA said the integration would allow smoother communication and coordination among government systems and institutions.

During the event, stakeholders witnessed a live demonstration of the system conducted by Corelink Senior Digital Expert JUSTIN CHILULWE.

The demonstration showcased key features of the platform, including real-time property tracking, data management and integration with other government systems aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in public service delivery.
