Kansanshi Mining PLC has invested over US$600,000 in capacity‑building programmes aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and compliance levels of local suppliers and contractors in Solwezi District.
Kansanshi Foundation Manager Simon Keevil said the mine wants local entrepreneurs to benefit from the wide range of business opportunities available in the mining sector.
Speaking during the official opening of the Business Compliance Clinic organized by the mine, Mr. Keevil noted that many local enterprises have the potential to supply goods and services but often fall short of meeting regulatory and operational requirements.
And North‑Western Province Permanent Secretary Colonel Grandson Katambi commended Kansanshi Mining PLC for partnering with Government to promote business development in the province.
