President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Mongu Western Province.
The Head of State touched down at Mongu Airport at approximately 11:30 hours and was received by Mongu residents who gathered to welcome him.
Addressing the people of Mongu shortly after his arrival, President Hichilema pledged to complete the construction of King Lewanika University, saying the institution will expand access to higher education opportunities for people in the province.
The President also urged parents across Western Province to ensure that their children attend school, noting that the Free Education Policy is now enshrined in law.
He emphasized that every child deserves access to education regardless of their background and reaffirmed government’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities for all Zambians.
