Nalumango Confident of Fresh Mandate

By Mary Kachepa
Vice President Mutale Nalumango says she is confident that Zambians will give the UPND a fresh mandate on August 13, citing development achievements recorded over the past four years.
Mrs. Nalumango says if re-elected, the UPND will focus on further growing the economy, which she says has already been stabilized.
She says economic growth will translate into improved livelihoods at household level, as the cost of living is expected to reduce further, pointing to the slowdown in inflation, which has now moved into single-digit territory.
Speaking when she featured on a special interview on ZNBC TV1, Mrs. Nalumango said job creation will also remain a key priority in the next term of office.
The Vice President further said the UPND is actively engaging party structures on the ground.
She said President Hakainde Hichilema’s meetings with party officials should not be mistaken for campaign rallies, noting that major rallies will commence soon.
