President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has pledged to improve infrastructure in Mushindamo District of North-Western Province.
Addressing a community engagement at Kasapa School Grounds, the President said Government will construct the Matipa Road and ensure the speedy completion of the Solwezi-Kipushi Road, where works have already begun.
President HICHILEMA also said Government will proceed with the construction of the long-awaited Central Business District after agreeing on its location.
He said boarding facilities at Lamba Basic School will be upgraded, while a skills training centre will also be established.
President HICHILEMA further announced plans to construct a district hospital to improve access to healthcare services in Mushindamo.
He has also directed that beneficiaries of social protection programmes should be selected fairly, without discrimination.
The President urged residents to vote for the UPND in next week’s General Election, saying this will allow Government to continue implementing programmes such as Free Education.
Meanwhile, former Health Minister ELIJAH MUCHIMA called on the people of Mushindamo to vote for President HICHILEMA to allow development projects to continue.
