BESA KALUMBA of the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity -NRPUP- has been elected Mansa Mayor.
This was after he polled 44,491 votes, while his closet rival Newton Kalaba of the UPND came second with 12,297 votes.
Independent candidates MWABA KAPUSA and ALEX CHENGA received 5,379 and 3,224 votes respectively.
ANNETTE CHILUBA of UPPZ got 3,563 votes.
District Electoral officer Dr. JOSEPHINE MWANZA declared Mr KALUMBA winner around 03:30 .
She revealed that a total of 70,519 votes were cast with 2,065 rejected ballots.
And Speaking to journalists, Mr. KALUMBA pledged to work with everyone to ensure sustained development in Mansa.
