The Millers Association of Zambia says the steady supply of maize has helped lower production costs, leading to reduced mealie‑meal prices.
Association President Andrew Chintala told ZNBC News that millers are committed to ensuring consumers benefit from the strong harvest.
He added that the Association is working closely with Government and other stakeholders to prepare for potential effects of El Niño.
Chintala further emphasized that the Association’s priorities align with the Grow Zambia Agenda, which aims to expand the market and meet production targets.
