“$1.3 trillion needed to address energy crisis in Africa”
The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) says about 1.3 trillion dollars is needed to address the energy crisis on the African continent.
AUDA-NEPAD Representative, Crispen Zhana, says this will help address the electricity challenge being faced by most African countries.
Mr. Zhana says there is a master plan project on energy currently being worked on across the continent, with works in phases supported by the World Bank and the Africa Development Bank.
Mr. Zhana was speaking virtually during the launch of Africa Energy Indaba held today.
Africa Energy Indaba is a precursor to the conference to be held from June 16th to 20th, 2025.
Kavland’s Executive Chairman, Chisenga Lwipa, said it is working with Shenzhen Bias Pu Credit Company Limited to organize the conference that will attract over 600 delegates.
Meanwhile, Founder of Shenzhen Bias Pu Credit Company, Michael Zhao, said there are a number of energy projects being carried out by Chinese companies.
