$120m digital transformation grant secured

Government has secured 120 million United States Dollars grant for digital transformation.

Science and Technology Minister FELIX MUTATI says secured money for digital transformation will come through in July this year.

Mr. MUTATI said this when he paid a courtesy call on Zambia’s Ambassador to the USA CHIBAMBA KANYAMA in Washington DC.

The Minister is attending the Global Digital Summit.

Mr. MUTATI said digital infrastructure has been put into the mining sector, which has resulted in attracting huge investments in the sector.

And Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA said there is political will which has attracted digital transformation.

This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in Washington, D.C, CHARLES TEMBO.
