Michelo presents letters of credence to Ecuador
Zambia’s Ambassador to Ecuador, GLYNE MICHELO has assured Ecuador that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is ready and looking forward to strengthening ties with that country.
Mr MICHELO says Zambia is seeking bilateral relations that are mutually beneficial and backed by actions.
Mr. MICHELO says both Zambia and Ecuador are facing an electricity crisis because of climate change and is gratified that President of Ecuador DANIEL NOBOA has called for collaboration in finding a solution to the problem.
Mr MICHELO was speaking after the President of the Republic of Ecuador accepted the Letters of Credence accrediting him as a Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the Republic of Ecuador with residence in Brasilia.
The presentation of Letters of Credence was held at the Carondelet Palace, also known as the Palace of the Government, in Quito the capital of Ecuador.
And, President NOBOA emphasized the significance of strengthening and broadening South to South cooperation adding that developing countries must continuously have conversations about development.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by the First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia-Brasilia, LLOYD KAPUSA.
