1,800 Individuals Receive Skills Training in Chibombo District Since 2021
One thousand eight hundred and ninety-one individuals in Chibombo District, Central Province, have undergone skills training since 2021.
Chibombo District Commissioner Royd Kayeka says the government is committed to training more people to acquire skills and get an education.
Mr. Kayeka says this is why the government introduced policies such as free education so that no child is denied education due to financial constraints.
He says the policy is meant to improve the lives of vulnerable children, including those in rural areas, through various programs and initiatives.
Mr. Kayeka has also called on all stakeholders, including traditional leaders, to support the efforts and ensure children are protected and given opportunities to thrive.
Mr. Kayeka said this in an interview with children supported by ChildFund Zambia to mark this year’s International Children’s Day of Broadcasting.
