2 buried alive while mining in Chibombo
Two men have died in Mungule area of Chibombo, Central province, after they were buried alive while undertaking mining.
The incident happened yesterday, April 7, 2025, around 12 hours, when part of the ground collapsed on them.
Police Spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga has confirmed and identified one of the deceased as Nathan Kaonga, aged 21.
Mr Hamoonga says police are yet to identify the other deceased.
He has explained that the deceased had travelled from Kabwe, in March 2025, in order to engage in mining activities at Sieg Mine, which is known for Zinc mining.
