2 wizards plead guilty of possessing charms
Two suspected wizards have pleaded guilty to possession of Charms.
The two suspects are LEONARD PHIRI 43 of SINDA District and MABULESSE CANDUNDE, a MOZAMBICAN.
Mr. PHIRI and Mr. MABULESE have however denied the charges of exercising Super Natural Power.
They have taken plea before LUSAKA Magistrate FINE MAYAMBU.
Magistrate MAYUMBU has set January 20, 2024 for commencement of trial in the matter.
It is alleged that Mr. PHIRI and Mr. MABULESSE between November 22 and 23, 2024 possessed charms and pretended to exercise supernatural powers.
Last week, Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA disclosed that two were allegedly engaged by NELSON BANDA, the young brother to fugitive former Petauke Central member of Parliament EMMANUEL BANDA.
The two intended to use the charms to harm President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
