200 health care providers trained for M-pox management

Government has trained more than 200 health care providers in M-Pox management.
Health Minister ELIJAH MUCHIMA says this is to ensure the country is ready to manage any possible cases of M-Pox.
Dr. MUCHIMA also says procurement of equipment for enhanced screening is underway.
Delivering a Ministerial Statement in the National Assembly on the status of M-Pox, Dr. MUCHIMA said Government wants to ensure that diagnostic and testing equipment are readily available in an event that cases are recorded.
And Dr. MUCHIMA also said the Ministry of Health has started a public campaign to sensitize people on the disease.
He said messages of the campaign will be translated in 7 major local languages to ensure they reach a wider audience.
