20,000 Kululushi residents get emergence social cash transfer

Over 20,000 people are benefiting from the expanded social and emergence cash transfer in Kalulushi District on the Copperbelt.
Kalulushi District Social Welfare Officer, MWICHE SIMASIKU says the government has spent over six million Kwacha on about 7,000 already existing beneficiaries on social cash transfer.
Ms. SIMASIKU told ZNBC that about 13,000 people have been selected to receive financial support of 800 Kwacha per person under the emergency cash transfer in the district.
And, Kalulushi District Commissioner, KELLY JIBINGA said the district has done well in giving out the 200 metric tons relief maize to vulnerable communities.
Meanwhile, CATHREEN CHISAMBA a widow in Kalulushi has thanked President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA for the emergency cash transfer as it will help her a lot in her business and looking after the family.
