3 Community Officers nabbed for fertilizer theft

Two Assistant Community Officers and a Community Development Officer have been arrested in connection with the theft of fertiliser meant for vulnerable farmers in Musokotwane village of Kazungula district.

The three are part of the suspects that have been arrested in connection with the theft of the fertiliser.

And Police have recovered 103 by 50 kilograms bags of fertilizer and 5 by five kilograms bags of maize seed meant for vulnerable farmers in Musokotwane village.

Southern Province Police Commanding Officer AUXENSIO DAKA told ZNBC News in Livingstone that following investigations, the police have recovered 50 bags of 50 kilograms D compound fertilizer and 53 by 50 Kilograms of urea.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a Heartlands Accountant for the theft of over 13 million Kwacha from his employer over a period of three years.
