3 Political Parties express interest in Litawa by-election

Three political parties have expressed interest in participating in the Litawa by-election in Mongu, scheduled to take place on January 7, 2025.
The parties include the United Party for National Development (UPND), Leadership Movement Party, and Citizens First Party.
Speaking to ZNBC News, Electoral Commission of Zambia Commissioner Ambassador Ndiyoi Mutiti called on candidates to follow the electoral procedure.
Ms. Mutiti further called for a conducive environment for young people, women, and persons with disabilities.
She emphasized that electorates should cast their votes without intimidation or harassment.
