3,000 Jobs Expected at Mopani Copper Mine
Mines and Minerals Development Minister Paul Kabuswe says 3,000 more jobs will be created at Mopani Copper Mine.
Mr Kabuswe says this is in addition to the 1,900 jobs that where created following the International Resources Holding Deal.
In a statement to ZNBC News in Lusaka, Mr Kabuswe said when the mine starts production, local hiring audits will be done every quarter and supplier development programs will be launched.
Mr Kabuswe noted that production at Mopani Copper Mine will contribute significantly to the three million metric tonnes copper production target by 2031.
