300,000 women to be screened for Cervical Cancer
The Ministry of Health plans to screen over 300,000 women for cervical cancer countrywide.
Ministry of Health National Cancer Cervical Coordinator PAUL KAMFWA says this is meant to reduce the burden which comes with cervical cancer patients.
Dr. KAMFWA says it is important for the public to understand that cervical Cancer is preventable if diagnosed early.
In an interview with ZNBC News, Dr. KAMFWA said all women are eligible to go for screening.
Meanwhile, Lusaka resident MWANGELWA ILISHEBO has encouraged women to take cervical cancer screening seriously.
