
40 University Students Get Agripreneurship Skills

Forty youths from various universities in Lusaka are undergoing training in agripreneurship to acquire skills to enable them to contribute to job creation.
Ministry of Agriculture Acting Director of Policy and Planning, OSCAR CHITA , says the training is meant to link young people with key players in the sector.
Speaking at a workshop organized by Hitalys Consulting Services in Lusaka, Mr CHITA urged young people to take advantage of the opportunity and venture into farming.
He emphasized that agriculture is not just for the older generation but for anyone passionate about the sector.
Mr. CHITA encouraged youths to tap into various programs offered by the ministry to boost food production in the country.
Meanwhile, one of the participants from the University of Zambia – UNZA – NDANJI SIKAZWE said the event provided a valuable platform to connect with key players in the agricultural sector.
He has urged fellow youths and graduates to embrace farming as a viable career path.
