42 megawatt Generator trips at Victoria Falls Power Station

ZESCO has lost 42 megawatts of electricity in the national grid due to a generator that has tripped at the Victoria Falls Power Station.
The incident which occurred on 22nd, June, 2024, has reduced ZESCO’s power generation capacity, leading to extended power rationing.
ZESCO says it is working to restore full operation at the power station and stabilize the power supply as soon as possible.
