4,200 Teacher Posts won’t be advertised

The Ministry of Education says it will not advertise for the recruitment of 4,200 teachers for the 2024 exercise.

Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA says the Ministry will utilize information from the previous recruitment database.

Speaking at a Press Briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. SYAKALIMA said the ministry is currently conducting a validation process, which is expected to be concluded by mid-December.

He said government will ensure transparency is achieved to enable all eligible candidates benefit.

Mr. SYAKALIMA further cautioned all eligible teachers not to accept or indulge in any kind of corruption as Government will charge parties found wanting.

Meanwhile Information and Media Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA said no person should give money or anything in return to be recruited.

Mr. KAWANA said government will not ask anyone to pay money in exchange for a job.
