450 Kaoma Farmers to benefit from a Nutrition Support Program
Over 450 #farmers in #Kaoma District of Western Province have benefited from a #nutrition support project spearheaded by the Programme Against Malnutrition-PAM.
This is with support from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO).
PAM Executive Director Francis Kasamala says the initiative aims to improve access to nutrient-dense foods for nutritionally vulnerable populations.
Mr Kasamala said this during the Project close-out in Kaoma.
Meanwhile, FAO Coordinator for Nutrition and Food Systems Rhoda Mofya said the project costs about 25,000 US Dollars under the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) II program.
And, Kaoma District Commissioner Sheba Kashina thanked PAM and FAO for the support rendered to farmers in the district.
She said this in her remarks given by Kaoma District Administrative officer Pius Mishengo.
