4,900 Youths in CP Empowered with Survival Skills
(ZANIS)Over 4,900 youths in Central Province have been empowered with survival skills in various fields under the expanded Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to enable them to make meaningful contributions to national development.
Central Province Permanent Secretary Milner Mwanakampwe announced at a media briefing in Kabwe that over 4,900 youths benefited from skills development bursaries in 2024, compared to 4,614 in 2023.
Dr. Mwanakampwe stated that the government will continue empowering youths with various skills to enable them to contribute to job and wealth creation in the province. He added that the government also awarded secondary school boarding bursaries to 2,257 pupils in 2024, compared to 1,499 pupils in 2023 in the province.
Dr. Mwanakampwe attributed the increase in the number of beneficiaries of both skills development bursaries and secondary school boarding bursaries to the increased CDF allocation to constituencies.
