Mweetwa advises farmers to plant more

ZANIS- Chief Government Spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA has advised farmers not to lose hope in the wake of the drought, but plant more crops this coming farming season.

Mr MWEETWA says the government is aware of how the current drought has threatened the harvest of farmers.

He said this in Zimba district when he led UPND Officials to drum up support for UPND candidate IVAN SEEMANI in the September 19 Chidi local government by-election.

Mr MWEETWA, who is also UPND National Spokesperson said farmers should take advantage of the early distribution of farming inputs which the government has already started.
