Sunday Chanda backs $427m Health infrastructure contract

Kanchibiya Member of Parliament SUNDAY CHANDA says the recent signing of a 427-million-US-Dollar health infrastructure development and maintenance contract will transform healthcare delivery.

Mr. CHANDA says the development is a crucial step in addressing the healthcare gaps, particularly in underserved and rural areas.

He has since called on relevant authorities to expedite the release of funds to ensure that construction timelines are met and hospitals and health centers are operational within the three-year period.

Mr. CHANDA said there is also a need for the 2025 national budget to prioritise health sector infrastructure, to support the project and future healthcare initiatives.

He has also called for a robust system for tracking the progress of the project to ensure transparency in the use of funds.
