HH tells UN to address cause of conflicts
By Wilson Mulinda
President Hakainde Hichilema says the impact of conflict in some parts of the world has been felt across Africa.
Mr. Hichilema says this is through disruptions, soaring prices of key commodities such as energy and other inputs of trade and production, resulting in increased cost of living.
He says Zambia, like many other developing countries which are predominantly import-dependent, has not been spared.
Mr Hichilema said this in speech delivered by Foreign Affairs Minister, Mulambo Haimbe during the plenary of the high level segment of the 79th UN General Assembly.
Mr Hichilema said it is crucial that members address the root causes and structural drivers of conflict and promote peace-building efforts.
