Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary -Technical Services, KENNEDY LISHIMPI has expressed concern over the increasing number of cancer cases in children.
Dr. LISHIMPI however says there are measures being put in place to mitigate childhood cancer like decentralisation of childhood cancer treatment in Ndola and Livingstone.
He was speaking at the launch of the childhood cancer awareness programme in Lusaka.
And Dr. GRACE CHINGO a Paediatric Oncologist said the launch of the awareness is important as it brings out realistic situations that childhood cancer is real and can be cured.
Meanwhile, CASSANDRA CHANGAYA, a childhood cancer survivor who is also a student nurse says the treatments she received at CDH have saved her life .
