Footballers union unhappy with FAZ
By Chansa Kunda
The Footballers and Allied Workers Union of Zambia -FAWUZ- has expressed concern with how player disputes and contractual cases are being disposed of at the Football Association of Zambia -FAZ.
The Union says the Player Status Committee at FAZ has not been having many meetings to table cases and pass judgment on issues involving Zambian footballers.
FAWUZ – General Secretary JOE KAUNDA says majority of the players who have pending cases with the committee are experiencing challenges in focusing on their careers due to the delay in passing judgment.
Speaking to ZNBC Sports News, KAUNDA noted the need for Clubs to heighten their compliance to the welfare of players especially women footballers in the country.
KAUNDA said most Clubs are at fault of failing to honour their pledges towards bettering the plight of women footballers in the country.
