10 miners die in Nangoma mine accident

Ten miners have died after the earth collapsed on them at Luili gold mine in Nangoma constituency of Mumbwa district.

Five others miners are still trapped.

Five other miners have been retrieved alive but are nursing injuries at Nangoma hospital.

The accident happened at around 09 hours when a piece of earth collapsed on the miners.

Nangoma Member of Parliament COLLINS NZOVU, who has visited the site has confirmed the incident and has since directed that all mining activities be suspended.
