ZACCI, Rwanda’s private sector pen MOU to enhance trade and investment

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry -ZACCI- and the Rwandan Private Sector Federation -PSF- have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
ZACCI Chief Executive Officer ELVIN NASILELE says the MoU paves the way for enhanced cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, mining, and energy.
Speaking during the Zambia-Rwanda Business Forum in Lusaka today, Mr. NASILELE emphasised the need to work together and remove barriers to trade by creating enabling environments for private sector growth.
Meanwhile, Rwandan Private Sector Federation Vice Chairperson AIMABLE KIMENYI highlighted the importance of building trust and partnering in larger projects, particularly in the agriculture sector.
And Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Industry Permanent Secretary LILLIAN BWALYA reiterated that the Government will continue facilitating a conducive business environment to promote inclusive growth and the competitiveness of industry and commerce.
RWANDA’s High Commissioner to Zambia, EMMANUEL BUGINGO, also noted that the role of the private sector is critical in leveraging the various opportunities that both countries have to offer.
