Saudi Arabia seeks partnerships with Zambia

Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources, ABDULRAHMAN ALBALUSHI, says his country seeks to form long-lasting mutually beneficial partnerships with Zambia.
Mr. ALBALUSHI also says Saudi Arabia is interested in learning from Zambia’s Ministry of Mines.
Speaking during a meeting with President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA at State House in Lusaka today, Mr. ALBALUSHI said both Saudi Arabia and Zambia are on paths of diversification, offering opportunities for mutual learning.
Mr. ALBALUSHI said Saudi Arabia has identified mining as one of the sectors to diversify to.
Mr. ALBALUSHI is leading a Saudi delegation attending the Mining Insaka.
And, President HICHILEMA said the visit by the Saudi delegation marks the growing partnership between the two countries, paving the way for business transactions and joint ventures.
He said Zambia aims to learn from Saudi Arabia’s approach to utilizing its natural resources, such as oil and gas, to improve citizens’ livelihoods.
President HICHILEMA praised Saudi Arabia’s achievements in value addition and resource marketing.
