By Alice Lubasi
Zambia has signed an agreement that makes Zambia a full member of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency.
Transport and Logistics Minister FRANK TAYALI says the Agreement is going to expand the market for Zambia.
He said Zambia being part of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency is key in ensuring easy access to member states to trade with.
Mr. TAYALI said this after signing the agreement.
This was during the Interstate Council of Ministers Meeting being held in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Central Corridor is the integrated multimodal transport and logistics network that connects Member States to the sea through the port of Dar es Salaam.
The Agency was established with the mandate to coordinate the Member States’ efforts of ensuring coordination and cooperation in the management of transit transport along the corridor.
