Construction of Kalabo-Sikongo-Angola road to start in 2025

The Road Development Agency -RDA- says construction works on the Kalabo-Sikongo-Angola road will start before the end of next year.
RDA Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer ANTHONY MULOWA says this follows the 50-million-dollar concessional agreement signed with the Arab bank for Economic Development in Africa -BADEA- on October 6, 2024.
Mr. MULOWA told ZNBC News that once constructed the road is expected to enhance connectivity between Zambia and Angola.
He said the road will play a crucial role in fostering economic development, particularly by promoting trade, agriculture, and tourism.
Mr. MULOWA said with the funding secured, RDA will initiate the construction process, starting with the procurement of consultancy services and a contractor.
