The Energy Regulation Board -ERB- says it has dispatched officers to the border posts to attend to any bottlenecks that may arise in the process of importing fuel into the country.
ERB Director General ELIJAH SICHONE says the Board is working with the Zambia Revenue Authority -ZRA- and the Road Transport and Safety Agency –RTSA- to ensure that there is steady and consistent supply of fuel and diesel in service stations countrywide.
In an interview with ZNBC News today, Mr. SICHONE urged the public not to panic as the country has sufficient stock of petroleum products.
He said licensed road transporters have since been allowed to move up to around 22:00 hours while diesel is also being pumped in through the TAZAMA pipeline.
Mr. SICHONE said as of today, 110 service stations were sampled and 71 percent have both diesel and petrol.
