President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says he will in the next fifteen days open Kalengwa Mine in Mufumbwe District of North Western Province.
This is after the head of state was scheduled to open the mine early this month but the courts of law instituted an injunction which has delayed the reopening of the mine.
President HICHILEMA says he is disappointed that some people are trying to undermine the government through the court procedures.
The President says he will open Kalengwa Mine and wants to ensure that employment is created in the district.
The Head of State was speaking when he met Chiefs before gracing the Nsakwa Yaba Kaonde Traditional Ceremony.
Meanwhile, President HICHILEMA said he will involve the judiciary on how some traditional structures can be empowered to resolve some traditional wrangles among themselves.
The President said he wants traditional leaders to offer solutions to the problems that traditional leaders are facing.
And Senior Chief MUJIMANZOVU of Mushindamo District said he is concerned with the increased number of succession wrangles and boundary disputes among chiefs in the province.
The traditional leader has called on the government to legally empower traditional structures to resolve disputes in their chiefdoms.
