KCM Employee dies in a mine accident

A Konkola Copper Mines Employee has died in a mine accident at the KCM Nchanga Mine New East Mill operation.

LAWRENCE NDALAMA was pronounced dead at the Nchanga South Mine Hospital.

KCM Corporate Affairs Department told ZNBC News that the accident happened today around mid-day.

And, investigations have been launched to ascertain the circumstances of the accident.

KCM said the next of kin and regulatory authorities have been notified of the fatality.

KCM Management has sympathized with the family of the deceased and has conveyed a message of condolence.
