Britain to support Cash for Work program
The British Government has pledged to provide technical support towards the implementation of the social protection empowerment programme Cash for Work.
Acting British High Commissioner to Zambia SAM WALDOCK says his government has taken keen interest in the implementation of Cash for Work.
Mr. WALDOCK is happy with how Cash for Work has had a positive impact on the lives of beneficiaries in the last two months.
He says the programme has enabled vulnerable individuals and households to access direct financial support.
He was speaking when he led a team of officials from the British High Commission who paid a courtesy call on the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary for Administration MAAMBO HAAMAUNDU.
And Mr. HAAMAUNDU says the government remains committed to embracing meaningful support from stakeholders to improve the socio and economic status of vulnerable citizens.
