“Lungu’s convoy was not stoned”
By Chembe Mbale
Chingola Member of Parliament CHIPOKA MULENGA has refuted reports suggesting that former President EDGAR LUNGU’s convoy was stoned by suspected political cadres on his way to Chingola cemetery.
Mr. MULENGA says reports that the former President was ambushed when being driven from SDA Central Church in Chingola to the burial site during the funeral procession for pastor MUTALE and MWAMBA KAMBWILI must be ignored.
Mr. MULENGA said this in response to PF faction Vice President GIVEN LUBINDA’s claim that the former President could not attend the burial of KAMBWILI brothers because he was allegedly attacked by suspected political cadres.
Mr. MULENGA has since appealed to the former Head of State and his team to find a better way of conducting politics.
He has also urged the former President to strive towards promoting unity especially during funerals.
The former President was in Chingola to attend the funeral of MUTALE and MWAMBA KAMBWILI who died in an accident in Luwingu last Tuesday.
