“The country has sufficient stocks of petroleum products”

Energy Regulation Board -ERB- says the country has sufficient stocks of petroleum products.
ERB Director General, ELIJAH SICHONE says the country currently has 35.8 million liters of diesel and 8.9 million liters of petrol which translates into sufficient fuel cover for the next few days.
He however noted that the board has intensified engagements with the Oil Marketing Companies to accelerate the distribution of petroleum products across the country.
He said ERB officers visited 612 filling stations across the country of which 423 had both petrol and diesel while 138 filling stations had either diesel or petrol and 51 filling stations had no stock of both petroleum products.
