UNICEF to host dialogue on Children’s development

United Nations Children’s Fund- UNICEF says it will host a National Dialogue meeting focusing on children’s development, particularly early childhood education and care.
This initiative is crucial, as Early Childhood Development significantly impacts a child’s future school performance and life progress
Early Childhood Development Action Network Zambia Vice Chairperson MARLON PHIRI has emphasized the need for policy engagement and increased investment in early childhood and child care.
Speaking during the media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. PHIRI urged Zambians to prioritize investing in children at a young age, providing stimulation and protection in a secure environment.
Meanwhile, Africa Early Childhood Network Representative, GIVEN DAKA said Partnerships are vital in advocating for Early Childhood Development.
And Ministry of Education Assistant Director for Early Childhood Education PATRINE CHILALA notes that the Ministry is pushing for more investments in Early Childhood Development to promote access to quality education.
Principal Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses- IMCI Community Officer, EUNICE PELEKA explained that the ministry has adopted a holistic, multi-sectoral approach based on the nurturing care framework, ensuring children grow well.
