FAZ considers museum project
Football Association of Zambia President, ANDREW KAMANGA has emphasized the need for the country to document its football history.
KAMANGA said FAZ is exploring options to establish a football museum in order to preserve this heritage.
He said this on the sidelines of the 46th Ordinary Session of the Confederation of African Football -CAF- Congress in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,
KAMANGA has highlighted the importance of recognising Zambian players like FRED MWILA, who played professionally for Aston Villa and Atlanta Chiefs.
And KAMANGA said FAZ is fostering football diplomacy through partnerships with other African associations, such as the Ethiopian Football Federation.
Meanwhile, FAZ Vice President, JUSTINE MUMBA has expressed concern over the ongoing rift between Chipolopolo Coach, AVRAM GRANT and Striker, FASHION SAKALA.
MWEEMBA has explained that attempts to mediate between the two have been unsuccessful due to the player’s unavailability for scheduled meetings.
He has however assured football fans and stakeholders that he remains hopeful for a resolution, as the coach seeks an apology from SAKALA for his comments, which the coach believes undermine team spirit.
