Blinken, King Charles stand with Zambia on independence day

The United States of America says it will continue to collaborate with Zambia across a range of issues including developing infrastructure, strengthening governance, promoting regional peace, security, and enhancing food and global health security.
U.S Secretary of State ANTONY BLINKEN says diplomatic relations between his Country and Zambia stand strong.
In a statement made available to ZNBC News, to congratulate Zambia on its 60th Independence Anniversary, Mr. BLINKEN said the year also marks 60 years of U.S. Zambia diplomatic relations.
Mr. BLINKEN has called for continued and steadfast partnership to make the world more safe, secure, and prosperous.
And in his message to President HICHILEMA on Zambia’s Independence Day, King CHARLES has reassured that the United Kingdom stands committed to supporting Zambia through this difficult time.
King CHARLES expressed concern over the severe drought affecting Zambia, acknowledging the profound impact it has had on the country’s people, economy, and environment.
The King CHARLES said the two countries will continue to collaborate to combat climate change and invest in sustainable development.
And on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Commonwealth, the monarch reflected on the close ties between the UK and Zambia, and noted the collective action of Commonwealth members, particularly at the recent summit in Samoa.
