Honour Sata’s legacy – HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on Zambians to honor the legacy of former President MICHAEL SATA and sacrifices he made for the country.
President HICHILEMA says citizens must not create unnecessary divisive conversations about the late President SATA’s memorial as it is a day to celebrate his life.
He says that the cathedral of the Holy Cross has been a host to many functions regardless of religious affiliation.
President HICHILEMA has also thanked the family for allowing the Government to conduct the 10th memorial service and that it is the duty of the Government.
The President said this during the 10th memorial service of the late Mr. SATA at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka today.
He said the country celebrates former president SATA for all the work he did and that the Government’s commitment is to carry on where he left.
President HICHILEMA said President SATA is remembered for his love for the country and his efforts to unite the country.
And former First Lady CHRISTINE KASEBA said the past 10 years have not been easy for her and the children.
Dr. KASEBA said President SATA was known for his ambition, relentless drive and sense of urgency.
She called on President HAKAINDE to continue his vision by embracing all Zambians.
Dr. KASEBA further urged Zambians to embrace peace, love, forgiveness, honesty and action.
Meanwhile, Former Cabinet Minister in the PF Government, EMMANUEL CHENDA described the late former President as a man of exceptional qualities and character.
Mr. CHENDA said that the poor remained a priority to former president SATA regardless of his circumstances.
