Norwegian Church Aid donates food to Kazungula families

Norwegian Church Aid and other cooperating partners have handed over food packs to 219 households in Simango village of KAZUNGULA District, under the drought response programme.
Norwegian Church Aid Senior Humanitarian Officer, BORNFACE MAFWELA says Kazungula district is one of the hardest drought-hit areas and some families are using different coping mechanisms.
Speaking in Simango village, Mr. MAFWELA said the organisations are responding to drought in Lusaka and Southern Provinces.
And United Nation Population Fund Programme Analyst, LEONARD ZULU said the mobile clinics are aimed at empowering women and girls who are the most vulnerable during a crisis.
