27 year old nabbed for growing cannabis in his house

The Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- has arrested 27-year-old COLLINS MILLER in connection with illicit cultivation of suspected cannabis plants using hydroponic technology.
The Commission has also seized the technology and plants from Mr. MILLER who was growing the cannabis in his house.
Speaking to ZNBC News, DEC Public Relations Officer ALLAN TAMBA said hydroponic technology is one of the new technological trends that people are using to grow cannabis.
Mr. TAMBA said the suspect will help the commission with investigations.
And in Kapiri Mposhi, the Commission has intercepted a shipment of psychotropic drugs and arrested two people in connection with the consignment.
The operation which commenced at Manyumbi checkpoint led to the discovery of a polythene sack containing 630 stripes with 6,300 tablets of Diazepam, commonly known as Valium.
This follows an intelligence report from concerned members of the public.
Mr. TAMBA said the Intelligence report revealed that the drugs, originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo via the Kasumbalesa Border, were destined for distribution to some drug dealers in Lusaka’s Chibolya Compound.
