Kelvin Sampa denies charge of theft of $150,000

Former Kasama Member of Parliament KELVIN SAMPA has denied the charge of theft by servant involving 150,000 dollars.
Mr. SAMPA has pleaded not guilty to the charge before LUSAKA Principal Resident Magistrate IRENE WISHIMANGA.
It is alleged that Mr. SAMPA between JULY 27, 2024 and September 30, 2024 allegedly stole 70,000 dollars belonging to a Mr. KUNIHIRO FUGISHI.
This was allegedly after Mr. KUNIHIRO entrusted Mr. SAMPA with the same money to buy gold on his behalf.
It is further alleged that Mr. SAMPA between August 01, 2024 and September 30, 2024 stole 80,000 dollars belonging to a Mr. SATOSHI SAKAMOTO.
Mr. SATOSHI during the period allegedly gave the money to Mr. SAMPA to buy gold on his behalf.
The matter is scheduled for trial on January 13, 2025.
