Fuel prices increased

The Energy Regulation Board -ERB- has adjusted upwards the pump prices of petroleum products effective midnight .
Petrol has been increased to K33.67 per litre from k32.70 ngwee while diesel has been increased to K32.43 per litre from K30.11
Kerosene has been adjusted upwards to K28.67 ngwee from K26.95 ngwee and Jet- A-1 has been increased to K31.49 ngwee from K29.57 ngwee.
ERB Board Chairperson JAMES BANDA has attributed the upward adjustment to movement in international oil prices and depreciation of the kwacha against the United States Dollar.
Mr BANDA says since the last price review on the 31st October 2024 the kwacha depreciated against the United States Dollar by over 2 percent.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by Mr. BANDA.
